Making Sense of Senseless Things

On randomness, possibility, and the meaning we give reality.

When trying to make sense of senseless happenings, I have often said, ‘all that can exist, will exist.’  Of course, that is not entirely true. But the longer existence stretches, the less surprising anything becomes. Things do not need purpose to occur; they are simply possibilities meeting opportunity. Reality holds both the beautiful and the incomprehensible, and it is up to us what meaning we give them.
